You will be assessed for any contraindications to treatment at your first consultation but, if there aren't any, then the treatment is extremely safe.
You will NOT be able to have a colonic if you are pregnant, if you had a recent surgery to the stomach or bowel or if you suffer from any of the following conditions:
- Abdominal Hernia, Any Abdominal/Rectal Surgery or Abortion in the last 6 months, Acute Liver Failure or Cirrhosis of the liverAnaemia (severe), Diabetes, Aneurysm, Bowel Perforations, Colon Cancer, Crohn’s Disease, Dialysis, Diverticulitis & Diverticulosis Epilepsy, Fissures, Fistulas, Haemorrhoids (Severe), Heart Disease, History of Seizures, Kidney Failure/Insufficiencies, Lupus, Rectal Haemorrhaging, Ulcerative Colitis, Uncontrolled High Blood Pressure-above 170/100, Long term steroid use, Hirschsrpug's disease, lleus (paralytic), Radiotherapy of abdominal are & not yet discharged from Medical Care, Severe Anaemia (RBC Less than 2.5 million cells) -Risk of fainting, Severe persistent diarrhoea.
